There's a baptim for an Ella Marjorie Hughes at St Teilo's, Cardiff on 29 Oct 1911. Parents Francis and Lily Rose, of 186 Mackintosh Place (the road still exists!). Francis was a railway clerk.

Matching birth registration for Ella M Hughes (Dec Quarter 1911) gives mother's maiden name as Millard.

And a marriage record for June quarter 1940 for Ella M Hughes marrying Edward F Williams in Cardiff.

Francis Hughes and Lily Rose Millard were married in Keynsham (Glous) in March quarter 1899.

Living in Bettws Rd, Ynysawdre, Mid Glam in 1901, Francis 29, railway clerk, born in Penllyn, Glam, Lily 24, born in Fishguard, Glouc, and son David G Hughes aged 2 months, born in St Brides Minor, Glam. [RG13, Piece 5046, Folio 44, Page 34]

Thanks for the replies, I now think I have the wrong Ella because the one I have was married in1934 in St Albans to a Percival C Osborn.
