Ships from Thurso

Does anyone know if ships sailed from Thurso to Australia?  I know many went to the US but my great grandfather who was born in 1837 in Reay or Thurso emigrated to Australia around 1865 and I was wondering where he might have sailed from as I have not been able to find him on any passenger lists.

I would love to know too, as my great-great-grandfather was born somewhere in Caithness about 1838 and married my great-great-grandmother in Queensland 9 Oct 1863.
