Hi
I would like help please with this conundrum. This lady is my husband's x 2 Gt. Grandmother.
According to 1851 & 1861 census info, she was born at Hockliffe. In 1871 it changes slightly to Oakley, Beds, not sure if pob was misheard!!!
She married Michael Grant in May 1838 in Malton, North Yorkshire, I have a copy of their mc, Eliza's father stated to be William Johnson- Occ -Horse Dealer.
Michael & Eliza lived their married life Kirton in Lindsey, Lincs. area, all 7 of their children born there
I am trying to check if she was either the Elizabeth Johnson, daughter of Hannah Sabey & William Johnson baptised Dec 1815 at Hockliffe or whether they were 2 different girls.
Personally I am going for 2 different girls, but have seen a couple of trees where the Grant name is shown.
If anyone has PR's for Hockliffe, Henlow and Oakley, and is able to check if there was an Eliza J baptised around 1816, I would be very grateful, thank you.
And thank you for reading this
