Private Robert Gent died of his wounds at 9-15pm on Thursday 23/11/1916 (gun shot wound to his right leg and to his humerus) he had previously been wounded (GSW to his left buttock) on Friday 26/8/1915, he rejoined his battalion on Monday 11/10/1915 and was fately wounded on Monday 13/11/1916
He died in the 13th General Hospital,Cape Helles
Royal Marine Light Infantry,Serial Number PLY/17565
He is buried in the Boulogne Eastern Cemetery

His Unit was the 2nd Royal Marine Battalion
Robert enlisted on Monday 9 Nov 1914 in York and was actually under age(18 yrs) as he was 17 yrs 10 month's 27 day's old.
His Father & Mother had a headstone errected in his honour & they are both buried beneath it.
