WDYTYA on YouTube
« on: Thursday 02 October 14 17:42 BST (UK) »
Just a heads up to all those Rootschatters who, like me, cannot see the live broadcasts or access BBC I Player.  Just do a search on YouTube & you'll find full episodes of Season 11.  Have fun!

You will also find WDYTYA from other countries too. Saw a South African one the other day and it was packed full. It managed to go down quite a few branches and touched on most topics uncovered, just enough to not get bored but still informative. It didn't spend a whole programme on one ancestor or try to make ice cream. I really enjoyed even though I hadn't a clue who the young chap was.
It was more like uk original format

As I live in Canada you tube is the only way I can see the shows.  I really enjoy them.  Have watched some from Australia as well.

Thank you for this post.

I had no idea that this series was on u-tube. Have just spent an enjoyable morning watching some of these as the weather is not conducive to be out of doors.

There's quite a lot of series on YouTube.  Time Team is one of them.  Just do a search, like 'historical documentaries UK' if you don't know the exact title of the programme.
Last night I watched an old episode of WDYTYA, J.K Rowlings, that was a good one!

Many thanks for mentioning this. It had not occurred to me to look at Youtube for WDYTYA. Last night I watched the progamme on Richard Roxburgh (he was the only one I had ever heard of from the Australian series). It was interesting.
