I have hit a brickwall my GGG grandfather PATRICK GORMAN i have been lead to believe was from ireland but no-one is sure of where. He married ANN VIRTUE and had a son called JOHN GORMAN i know from census returns that JOHN stated that he was born in COATBRIDGE in SCOTLAND but i can find no record of his birth on SCOTLANDS PEOPLE. Also i cannot find PATRICK or ANN on any scottish census i know they were there as they both died in Scotland.
I have no idea what to do next.
Any ideas anyone???

I have found a birth of one of their childern now and they were married in COUNTY TYRONE IN MAY 1846 is there anyway to confirm this?

I have checked BIVRI again for all names and combinations for births and marriages. The only one showing anything close is the John Gorman below - mothers maiden name dosn't match tho. There are 3 Ann Virtue/Vertue shown but all in 1600s
