Mary Dixon Hoyes
« on: Thursday 09 October 14 11:29 BST (UK) »
Not sure how this works but please, please would anyone be able to look up the marriage of George Pailing and Mary Dixon Hoyes which took place on 15th Sep 1819 at North  in the Notts extracted parish records for me. I am trying to trace the father of Mary with no luck so far. Any other info on the marriage would be useful too.
George Pailing is more usually recorded as Palin but I do think that the Pailing George is my ancestor.

Many thanks mdb

I see there are seven baptisms at N Muskham with the parents George and Mary with Palin, Paling, and Payling as surname spellings. One of the children is Joseph Dixon, so the name carried on down the family. I wonder, as Mary would have only been a tot if her mum died in 1803, could the Dixon family have adopted her?

Many thanks for this, it certainly gives me food for thought and would explain why I can't find the Dixon Hoyes name anywhere.
