Hi Everyone
Don't know if anybody can help im trying to trace my g grand parents, G/fathers name was George Hart born abt 1877 he died in Feb. 1966 aged 89yrs he lived in Newgate street Hertfordshire and was married to Ethel Constance I have no maiden name she died November 1951 aged 61, George was a policeman and a gardener. They had a son Leonard George hart born 1905. I can't seem to find anything no census no marriage, seem to have come to a halt , Can anybody tell me anything about a police station in Newgate village and help would be greatly appreciated

This should confirm mothers maiden name

The baptism for that Leonard George Hart gives this couple as his parents fathers occupation matches ???

I have that one but its the wrong mothers name it is a Frances Linner not Ethel. Georges headstone say's he was married to Ethel Constance. . Completely confused  :)

Perhaps Ethel C was a second 'marriage' for George. 

There is a death reg for a Frances L that would fit.

Lol Rosie I was just thinking that so I looked up a death for Frances L Hart and there is one in 1923 she died in Hatfield aged 45 so that may solve that one 45 is a young age, and George would have been young enough to remarry
