Percival Tate was born in 1886 in Liverpool and was the son of Joseph Tate and Sarah Robinson. He was my husband's great uncle.
He enlisted into the army on the 10th of Dec 1915.
Private Percival Tate of the Cheshire Regiment, 11th Battalion, was killed in action on October 21st 1916, age 29, at the Somme. He has no known grave. He is commemorated at Thiepval Memorial, Thiepval, Somme, France. Memorial Reference; Pier and Face 3C and 4A.
