Hi John

Can't see any Evans/mmn Reed births in Cambridgeshire after 1934.

That could infer that Annie was on her 2nd marriage and that Reed wasn't her surname at birth. Their 1934 marriage cert would confirm that.

By the way, we have a 'no living people' policy here at Rootschat and the information you are looking for could quite easily fall into that category.

How are James & Annie related to you?

Dawn

So, Annie wasn't 'nee Reed', she was Annie Evans formerly Reed, nee Kemp

This is important to remember when searching the birth index as the mother's 'maiden' surname ie nee, is the one that's recorded.

So, still can't see any Reed mmn Kemp births in the area, when did your grandmother pass away?

Sorry John, typo

There aren't any of those in Cambridgeshire either.

I asked when Annie Evans died, she might have been too old to have more children 2nd marriage around.

Looking at the dates you mention, she would have been 44 at the time of her second marriage and 13 years after the birth of her last child.

It's not impossible for her to have had more children but maybe unlikely

No divorce showing up on the National Archives database

Can you send me a personal message with the names of who you are looking for?
