What sort of information do you want - have you found them in the censuses?

I have managed to go through some censuses and have Iras great grandfather Jabez Sharpe b.1804 Duddington who was married to a Frances. Dont know who she was though.
His son Henry married a Mary A. and their son was the John Henry who married Clara.

I dont really know what I want, well actually I want two things, to find out where the name Ira originated in the family, I also would very much like to find out what happened to Ira John Sharpe. I know he served in the forces during the first world war as he is named on the roll of honour in the church alongside my great uncles Harry and Eardley Epton. After that I dont know what happened.

There only appears to be one Ira J Sharpe showing on free bmd.

You can see his birth, marriage (out of normal district) and death on there.

Death certificate for further information?

Marriage certificate for confirmation it is him?

Added:
There is also an Ira Sharpe born Lincoln 1908.

You might also need to consider the maternal line for the origin of the name Ira.

Hi I am trying to trace the location of a house in Duddington. It was known as "The Cottage" from 1861 to 1931 but I think it may have changed its name after that.

I was close to the house of jabez Sharpe and rather than a cottage as we would expect today it was probably a more substantial house.
on possibility is Braddan House but that is listed as previously known as Braddan or the old Dowry House.

Does anyone knowof "The Cottage" in Duddington?
thanks
John
