Robert Evans born 1828ish St.Clears

Hi all,

I am a little confused at the moment...
Robert Evans was born 1828 in St clears
He marries maria Edmund in 1850 in an anglican church
He gives his father as being John Evans....
Maria came from a very non conformist family in Llanboidy

The pair seemed to wander around a little before finally settling in Aberdare by 1871

There is a Baptism for Oct 1827 non conformist in St Clears for a Robert Evans
But this gives father as being David Evans instead John
So im not reslly sure which is the right one

Thats the family I first thought was his before I found the marriage register...
Thats the family definately related to the David Evans on the one baptism I saw
