ONLINE PRISON RECORDS

Can anyone tell me if more information can be obtained from historic prison records as the ones online only show the town ie Manchester, age of person etc.  I would have thought an address or even a town would have been recorded somewhere, thanks

What I try and do is see in the court case was reported in the local paper. Sometimes you find something and sometimes you don't.

If your town was Manchester you'd have a greater chance than if it were, e.g. Buxton.
