Piriform Help
« on: Sunday 07 December 14 20:48 GMT (UK) »
Hi
I have poblems with my computer freezing and not responding to different sites I go to. it can freeze up to 20mins before I can get on. I am using Vista which is about 6years old.
But after I saw the Topic on here to download cc cleaner I thought I would try it. Everything seemed fine after. Then when I looked at the analysis it tells me no files have been deleted, it says 2.53 mb to be deleted. So can someone  please tell me how I delete the ones shown, or anything else that I can do.
         Thank you in advance

Depends on where they are..  Have you done a Disk Cleanup?    Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Disk Cleanup   then select  Files from all users and follow instructions

Hi

1) You are selecting "Run Cleaner"(fight) and not "Analyze"(left) ?

2) cCleaner will have told you where the files reside that it wants to delete but has not.
Example of cCleaner leaving files is (say) you have internetExplorer (or FireFox) running whilst attempting the cleanup. If this is the case just close the browser or other programs it mentions and (re)run the "Run Cleaner".

Report back re whether that clears your problem?
