Thanks Alf

Not connected as far as I know - my Collier

spot some old graves on your wanderings

Hi  Gaye
I have not forgot  about you. I have been to both churches in Stone. One has a few stones still standing,  the remainder have been lifted, and placed in a corner, none of your names came to light. The other church, ALL have been lifted and placed face up on the boundary of the churchyard. It will take some time to get looking at the Inscription as most are covered by soil and years rubbish, but I will do my best.

Hiya Alf  :D

You are most kind
I love scrabbling round graveyards and wish I could join you!

They had at least 6 children most of whom did not
survive to adulthood
Others :
Dorothy Bassano married (1) Thomas Emery (2) Thomas Homersley
Katherine bassano married (1) James Singer (2) Edward Domville
Richard Bassano married Sarah Short dau of Edward Esq. of Meyford in 1674 and they are both (with their family) buried in Lichfield Cathedral

The Collier family seems to have been long time in Stone
and have surnames Crompton. Aston and Skrymsher married to them

Do you know of a site I can get some nice pics of Stone to add to my family tree database?

Best regards to you
GAYE
Sounds a nice place - I'd love a
