If you google Sidwell SUXEPICH her name comes up on a site where a family member (great grandchild) is looking for details on her.  From the site it would appear as though both her and George were born round about the 1830's.

Hope this helps

Thanks for your comments, but the information on Google is a mish mash, of family trees, it is up to 3 years old, & totally, totally, wrong.
The Irish connection you are seeing, does not exist.
This is not an attack on yourself.
I am just very angry that information, such as this has finished up available to all & sundry.

One of the problems with the internet is incorrect information appears sometimes, but on the other hand often it is so very helpful!

The site that I found was a request for information, not a family tree as such.

Getting back to your problem - could the spelling of the name be Suxepich, or is it Suxpeach?  If she was born in about 1851 she could not have been transported to Australia in 1834.

Sidwell Emily/Emily Sidwell, born Cape Colony 1851.
Mother Sidwell Suxspeach/Suxipach/Suxipich/ & other variations.
Tasmanian records show it to be Suxspeach.
She was born about  1816 to 1818, Middlesex, London,UK.

The Cape Colony covers a really huge area.  Do you have any idea what her father George did for a living?  That could possibly help narrow down the search area.

Ships list to and from South Africa are almost non-existent, but I believe that the Australian arrivals and departure lists are much better.  Have you checked those?

I know this is an old thread and not sure if you're still looking but I too am interested in Sidwell Suxspeach.

I haven't been able to discover anything about her after her arrival in Australia after being transported in 1834 on board the 'Edward' after pleading guilty to stealing from her master, but she was born 13 Dec 1817 the daughter of Frances and William Suxspeach, a carpenter, and baptised 15 Nov 1818, St Luke. She spent time in the workhouse as a child - it seems likely mother died and I think father remarried and had further children.

No Suxepich appears on Free BMD. England/Wales. From 1837 to latest year of Free BMD. Did not try all of the variants.
