Hello,

I have successfully traced the 1841 Census for Jabes (Jabez) BOULTER.....HO107/1182/43, p.8.......and the fact he was imprisoned between October 1850 and May 1854.......but then no further sightings.   Tried Jabez (Jabes) BOLTER......no luck!!

Can anyone help please??

I've had a look at his record 15.10. 1850 Wiltshire
Jabez Bolter larceny before convicted of a felony 7 years transportation

If that's right you should be looking in Australia.
But then as you say he just disappears.

He was not transported but released on licence (probation) to the UK 29/05/1854.

In that case then I wonder if he simply changed his name in order to disappear and start again?
