recent death

I have gone over the normal process of looking for a recent death 2014, which does show on NZ BMD, but nothing with the Herald, Press etc and memory tree.  Any other ideas on how to locate the death notice?

MERRICKS of Stafford/Birmingham
PENTECOST of Surrey and New Zealand
POTENTIER of France, England and Canada
WATKINS of London and New Zealand
WHITAKER of Guiseley Yorkshire and New Zealand
LYALL, of Dundee, Caithness and New Zealand

The death wont show on BDM's unless the death  occurred at least 50 years ago or the deceased's date of birth was at least 80 years ago.
Have you looked on the local cemetery database?

Not everyone puts a notice in the paper, I have had two relatives die recently, and nothing was put in the papers.

I can only suggest purchase the death printout, to find out who the FD was, then contact them to ask if there was a death notice.

If it is a Canterbury death try emailing the cremation society

She was 90 years old that is why she was on BMD.  Not a bad age.
No not a Canterbury death.  Will be Bay of Plenty or around that area I think.

Here is the last ER entry for her

Bobbie I Jennings    1981    Tarawera    Bay of Plenty

She was listed as  B O P from 1946 to 1981

It may be Western Bay of Plenty cemeteries and they don't have an online database

you could try emailing customer services
