Louisa Boxall and Friend Norrell Marriage

i was wondering if it is possible if there is a marriage record that mentions if Louisa Boxall is a widow or not?
the marriage date is 13 Jul 1828 in East Dean near Chichester, Sussex

Can't help on the parish record I am afraid, but it looks as though her son Henry Boxall did not name a father on his 1846 marriage but (most unusually) his mother's name was given.  Have you seen the parish entry or obtained a marriage certificate for him to see exactly what was said?

You probably already know that Henry and Ann Boxall & their children were enumerated immediately above Friend & Louisa Norrell in the 1851 census. HO107/1652/509/16.

i ordered the Henry's marriage cert last week so it sould take a few weeks to get over here to Australia.   i was also curious to see that it had his mothers name mentioned so it will be interesting to see

The Sussex Marriage index has Friend as a bachelor and Louisa as a spinster.
