Victoria, QLD Birth Records-James Stanaway

I found a marriage entry from 1856 James Stanaway and Ellen Prescott in the Victoria BMD. I believe that he is my ancestor and am considering purchasing the record. I don't want to do this if the groom's family is not part of the record collection that was taken at this time. Does anyone know if this information could be included in the marriage record or is it too early? Thanks!

As an update, I purchased this marriage certificate and he is indeed my ancestor. His parents are listed as James Stanaway and Eleanor Giles. Thanks again!
