Ellen Davies Abergele

Ellen Davies born April 1898 in the 1911 census shown as Eden, in 1922 on my Mothers Barnardo's records was shown as 23 maid at sanatorium in 1922 no address given I belive she never married and am looking for a death certificate.
One I ordered came today not her the Ellen Davies certificate I received dies 1956 says she was daughter Of David Davies my Ellen's fathers name was Daniel..
Could any one have a look for me,

Do you know for certain that she remained in Denbighshire after the birth? 

There are a great many Ellen Davies deaths with a birthyear of 1897/98.  Full birthdates only appear on entries from 1969 so if she died earlier - it would only be an approx birthyear based on her age at the time of death

You say she was born April 1898 - where did you get that info from?  If you have her birthcert - what was her exact birthdate

Members of the public do not have access to the information on death certs so we can't check - you have to buy a copy.  Anybody can report a death so there is no guarantee her fathers name would appear on any death cert.

Hello Carole, she was born 30 April 1898.
No I don't know for certain she stayed in Abergele but most of her family did.
I was lucky I ordered her brother Williams certificate death certificate that came today he never married but one of his sisters was the Imformant so was able to say for sure it was him.

Using that birthdate produces no results for an Ellen Davies so I just used Ellen and the birthdate.

Although that showed 5 matches under different surnames - none were in Wales

Only deaths from 1969 show the full birthdate so if she died before then - it would just show a birthyear based on her age at the time of death which may not necessarily be 1898
