Missing from 1881 & 1891 census
« on: Wednesday 15 April 15 15:52 BST (UK) »
Hi, i'm looking for Thomas Taylor in the 1881 & 1891 census or even a baptism record, i have him in 1901 & 1911 as born in Howden in 1872, widowed and living with him are his son Arthur Taylor born in Hull in 1897.

In 1911 Thomas is living with his wife Fanny but i don't believe Fanny is the mother of Arthur.

Many thanks

Jason

The 1901 census, which you already have, shows his sister-in-law in his household - potentially a huge clue to the identity of his late wife.

Francis Leaf Sister-in-law S 21 House keeper born Howden.

Possible birth reg as Frances Leaf, Sep qtr 1879 Howden.
