Inquest held on 25th March 1862
« on: Wednesday 29 April 15 14:36 BST (UK) »
Hello

A few days ago, I received a certificate for the death of Jonathan Steel, aged 21 in 1862.

It states that the information of the causes of death was received from Henry Beel, coroner.

There was an inquest held on 25th March 1862 into his death

Would there have been a newspaper article or information available concerning the inquest?

thanks

There's a short report in the "Cumberland Pacquet, and Ware's Whitehaven Advertiser" for 1 April 1862.  Page 6 column 1. Died of typhoid fever. A Dr Beattie had been treating him but refused to attend further after medicine had been administered by one William Auld,
