POLISH AIRMAN'S GRAVE

I have been researching the life of a former Polish Airman who died at Penley on 25th June 1992 and is buried in Grave No 493 in Wrexham Cemetery, according to his family in Australia.  However another site gives that grave as the last resting place of a woman with a Welsh name.  Can anyone please advise on how I can find out who is actually buried there?  I have not mentioned names because of the relatively recent date of death.

You are a genius!  Thank you so much!  The detail given corresponds exactly with the information that I had on my Polish Airman.  Now, all I have to do is find out whether he has any living family in Wales or any other part of the UK.

Hello Imber,

Yes, I have a copy of the book and it is very good on background material but sparse on individual names except on the more senior ranks.

The family of the man I am currently trying to track live in Australia so it is difficult for them as he died in a nursing home in Wales.  I cannot find any sign of a marriage or naturalisation, so there are a lot of dead ends.  Still, that makes it all the more interesting!
