Welcome to RootsChat

I can't find his parents marriage but he does seen to have a sister.

Blake Dooling

The marriage may be there, there may even be more children but with so many variations of the surname it makes searching difficult.
The hand writing must be very bad for Margaret to be transcribed as Maurice, which is no doubt not making the search any easier.
Too late to search anymore tonight.

Finding the parents, home place and baptism of someone born in 1827 is very good by Irish standards.

Couples usually married in the bride's parish so it is possible Margaret wasn't from Castle Island, but I'm not having any luck finding any more.

Images of Parish Registers will start to come one line from July 8th, perhaps there will be something more to find that way.
You can see what records still exist for Kerry here  http://www.nli.ie/GetAttachment.aspx?id=da336de9-d90b-4d71-af14-8aa7de999a39
Kerry starts on page 35.

Be warned some of these records are in a very poor state.
