Charles W. Wills of British Columbia

I am looking for Charles Winfield Wills, born 1862 in New Jersey.  He is on the 1885 New Jersey census with his family in Clinton, New Jersey, and then he disappears.

In 1894 a Charles Winfield Wills immigrated to Canada.  He is on the British Columbia, Canada, Voters List 1898 in Granville Hotel, Water St., Vancouver City.  He is on the 1901 Canadian Census in Comox, Vancouver Island, BC.  It looks like he was in the St. Albans, Vermont, boarder crossing Aug 1910.  It listed his last permanent residence as Courtney (?Courtenay), BC, Destination as Irvington, NJ.  Are there more records for him in Canada?  Did he go back to Canada or remain in the USA? 

I was looking for Charles Winfield Wills earlier in Australia.  That one I learned was his nephew.

That 1910 border crossing document adds more to the mystery. When I looked at it, his name has "disappeared" stamped on it. Based on that we can't even say for sure he left Canada.
