Trying to find mugshot of criminal ancestor
« on: Saturday 23 May 15 15:37 BST (UK) »
Hello

I am currently researching criminal ancestors and I am currently looking at the most prolific in the family, Thomas Ingram, born in 1865 in Great Yarmouth. Through his life, he was a billiard maker, a clerk and waiter.

He was sentenced on these convictions and imprisoned at the prisons of Pentonville, Parkhurst and Wormwood Scrubs.

Stratford Petty sessions - 25th Jan 1892 - stealing boots - fined or 2 months
Central Criminal Court (Old Bailey) - 2nd May 1892 - inciting to steal - 4 months
West Ham Police Court - 27th March 1893 - stealing watches - 3 months
Essex Quarter sessions - 29th Nov 1893 - housebreaking - 12 months
Essex Assizes - 18th June 1895 - housebreaking - 2 years
Central Criminal Court (Old Bailey) - 11th May 1899 - false pretences - 3 years
Essex Quarter sessions - 4th Jan 1905 - housebreaking - 2 years
Stratford Petty sessions - 26th Nov 1910 - loitering - 2 months
Central Criminal Court (Old Bailey) - 30th March 1911 – Counterfeiting currency – 20 months

Where would you be able to find a mugshot of Thomas, if one exists? I would like to find one so a face can be put to such a long list of criminal charges.

I didn't put this post in a county because he was charged in different counties.

my thanks :)
