William Young baptised 1741 in Tudeley and Capel in Kent
« on: Wednesday 10 June 15 16:34 BST (UK) »
Hi

Just wondering if anyone has this chap in their tree, or any information on this family.

So far I have found on Ancestry his baptism as above with parents Henry and Deborah
A possible marriage to an Ann Towner at Capel in 1763 again on Ancestry

I have also found a baptism of a Deborah Young to William and Ann on 18 Feb 1778 at Tudeley and Capel in Kent.  I am trying to find out if I can connect that Deborah with a Deborah I have married to William Terry in 1800 in Limpsfield, Surrey.

My Deborah is not baptised in Limpsfield, Surrey, I have been through the PRs with a fine tooth comb.  Her death record of 1850 gives an age of 73 therefore born 1777 and if you search for her on Ancestry the above at Tudeley and Capel is the only one that comes up!

Capel and Limpsfield are not that far away from each other.

Grateful for any help

Hi Kerryb,

I have found a William Terrey [sic] (aged 60) with wife "Deb Terrey" (aged 62) on the 1841 census at Horne, Surrey.  With them is a Jane Terrey aged 13 years.  William is a farmer and all claim that they were NOT born in the county of Surrey.  Reference is: HO107/1077, ED 8, fol. 10, p. 15.  I hope this helps a little.
