Trying to help find records of husbands great Granparents., parents of Edith Emily Simmonds born 1902 East Preston, Worthing, Sussex. She married his grandfather Benjamin Thomas Newnham in 1920. My husband has a photo of him as a baby with great grandad Ted.
Any help appreciated . Thanks.

Hello
This is a difficult one as  Edith Emily is with her grandparents on the 1911.( I can't post it for copyright reasons).
It looks like she is the daughter of Edward Simmonds nursery man  born 1873 Hurstpierpoint and Alice Emily Morley born 1879 Portslade and married at Heene 1.6.1901.

Alice Emily left a Will when she died 2.5.1938 at 2 Nash Villas Lancing £160 to her husband Edward Simmonds.
Edward died Mar 1953 at Worthing age 80.

It looks like Edith was a only child,she is with her maternal grandmother in 1911 Susan Webber late Morley nee Peters and her second husband Harry Webber.

That's great! Solves why I am unable to find 1911 census with Edith and her father Edward. My husband recalls Nashvillas so you have the correct family.
