seeking Creighton

Hi I wonder if someone can help me. I have Grace Creighton nee Owen married Herbert Alfred Creighton & I believe had two children, one being Connie Creighton & her brother name unknown. Who were 'adopted' by my great x2 Aunt Rose Austin nee Warren. Although adoption wasn't legal, so nothing to prove this. I know Connie's father Herbert A Creighton died in Bournemouth in 1986 born 1908. But I don't know when Grace H Creighton nee Owen died. I also need to find the connection between Grace Creighton nee Owen & Rose Austin nee Warren. There apparently was two other children girls, unfortunately don't know names. Regards Trish

The other child was Herbert A. He died soon after birth.

Hi yes Connie pass away 2009. I am trying to find link between Rose Austin nee Warren (adopted Mother) & Grace Creighton (birth Mother). As family legend says Rose brought up the children after parents died in car crash. They lived in Blaina but cannot find them on census. Rose said they were her niece & nephew, but not sure if it was Connie or her mother who was adopted. Regards Trish

If Connie's parent didn't die until 1975 and 1986 and she was born 1934 your story does not add up?

The family legend is a bit muddled, but the older Connie sister to Grace, who did she marry? Did she have any children.  My mother who is 86 says they refered to Grace as Connie.  But maybe it was Connie who she knew not Grace? regards Trish

Rose Warren was born June q 1874 in Stratton St Margaret.  She married Thomas John Austin Sept q 1896 Bedwellty district, S Wales.  They had no children but adopted two children after the parents died in a car crash.  So far everything known about Rose has been proved not true.  Although my mother remembers the children, she says 3 girls, but so far I have only Connie Creighton born 1934.  So maybe it was Connie's mother who was adopted by great x2 Aunt Rose.  My mum remembers that one of the girls was called Connie.  So maybe this is Connie Creighton's aunt Connie? regards Trish
