Hi all

Looking for any help tracing Pocock ancestors in NSW.

George Pocock b.1853 Kintbury, Berkshire, England
Sarah Jane Pocock, wife, (nee Slater) b.1851 Leek, Staffordshire
William Alfred Pocock, son, b.1877 Leek, Staffordshire

Harry Pocock b.1877 (don't yet know where he fits in)
John Slater b.1854 (presumably Leek)
Florence Slater b.1887  (ditto)

Left London 10th Feb, 1893 on the ship ORIENT, arrived Sydney 27th March 1893.

Would appreciate any info. on where they settled, Australian descendants, etc.

Perhps there is an error in the date of arrival.

Could anyone in Australia help me find two cousins who went to Australia with their father and mother, George and Jane Pocock, in 1898 from Leek, Staffordshire, and settled near Gympie at a place called Bunworth. The cousins are George and Harry Pocock, and they with a step brother, are 'the only two relatives I have left.

George and Sarah POCOCK are listed on Electoral Rolls together in Gympie, Queensland in 1903 to 1909.
George was a labourer and Sarah Jane performed HDs
Sarah is alone at Shield St. Gympie in 1913.

She was the child of John Samuel SLATER.
