I was wondering if anyone knows if there were any children's homes in Alexandria Dunbartonshire around the 1930's.I am trying to trace my birth mother it has been ongoing for many years. If she wasn't in a children's home she might have lived in the Bonhill area she has a brother that I know about but not sure about his age she was about 4 years old. I know they were both Baptised in the local RC church and I have their names and there mothers name two infact. Later on in their childhood they were placed in Smyllum Home in Lanark. Any help would be great.
