Comaskey's in Monaghan, any still there?
« on: Friday 19 June 15 11:26 BST (UK) »
Hiya,

Just wondered if the suname Comaskey can still be found in Monaghan, if thats where suname
originates ???

My 4x great granmother was Bidget Comaskey, she married Michael Casey on or around 1800,
only one child from that marriage that i know of Bernard Casey, it was when Bernard died in
1856 in Glasgow i found out who his parents were, when Bernard died his 1st or 2nd cousin James Comaskey signed the death notice, would love to learn who Bridget Comaskey's family were.
Bernard Casey married Elizabeth McDaid on or around 1820, Co Monaghan, Elizabeth's mother was Agnes Dinely, her father David McDade.
{ Comaskey & McDade comes in all forms of spelling }
If any one can connect with any of this please get in touch ;)
All the best.
Derek :D
