There is quite a bit of info about Gillman and Co available, as they're still operating today (as Gillman and Soame).

I gather the use of "Gillman and Co" first appears around 1880, so as for dating your photo I'm afraid I'm not much help other than it's later than 1880.  :)

That's because it's still at the jewellers getting resized……  :P :P :P

By the looks of them, they probably spent their last pennies on the photo.
