I couldn't find either of these boys in the 1901 search with details as given. There are a lot of Searles in the area though. If they went to orphanages they a) may be just about anywhere incl Canada by 1901 and b) they might be unrecognisable because the records were often vague about where born in the census.
I did find a third possibility that they may have been 'adopted' by other family, because this group caught my eye
RG13/1582 f91 WHam St Lukes
Albert Searles b1854 Kilburn
Susan b 1864 Canning Town
John b 1886 ditto
Albert b 1896 ditto
John & Jonah, Alfred & Albert seem similar enough to be switchable, and usually the eldest son is named after the father, not the second born so many years later (some may have been lost in between). Do Albert & Susan figure in your researches for earlier years?
