Riley and Hefferan from Mayo

I am searching for leads to the families of my great grandparents, they were  John Riley ( or a variant of this) and Margaret Hefferan ( again several versions, Hefferon, Everon etc). He was born 1839 and she was 1843, I believe in the Westport or Newport area. I believe their parents names were as follows: Thomas Riley born c1800 and wife Mary and Martin Hefferan and wife Mary, he born c1800 and she in 1807( age from Death Cert.) any help or advice would be most appreciated, many thanks in advance,

Bit of extra info if it helps, John and Margaret married in Chorley, Lancashire, her mother Mary was also in England and died in Chorley. No trace of the two fathers in the UK Census returns.

Hi, when did John & Margaret marry in Chorley, Lancashire? I ask as I have found an entry in the 1871 census and wonder could these be Margaret's parents. They are Martin & Alice and  are living in Lancashire in 1871. Kim

Sorry for the delay, been away on holiday. Margaret and John married on 19 Oct 1861. I have Margaret's mother as Mary though not Alice, but would be interested in your Census find, where were they?

James Hefferan  age 32  born Ireland  son  occ:baker
Mary Hefferan  age 30  born Ireland  wife  occ: tailoress
Martin Hefferan  age 23  born Ireland  son  occ: warehouseman
Mary Hefferan  age 30  born Ireland  daughter  occ: cap maker
Margrett Hefferan  age 26  born Ireland  daughter  occ: tailoress
Alice Hefferan  age 5  born Manchester  daughter
John Hefferan  age 2  born Manchester  son
Thomas Hefferan  age 3 months  born Manchester  son

Thanks Kim, but fairly sure this is not the right family. Unfortunately they both appear to be very common surnames in Ireland.
