Parents of John Masters 1799

Hi there, am looking for the parents of John Masters abt 1799.  He married Martha Root 5 Nov 1821 in Willoughby,Waterless,Leicester.  I have a copy of their marriage certificate which shows who married them & also the witnesses to their marriage, but unfortunately am unable to find any further information on either of these people.  John Masters is my 3rd gr grandfather and I would dearly love to go further back with this family.  Thanks for any help you are able to give me with this. Hopefully someone can help you but his second Marriage has his Father as John.

Hi Trish, thanks for that info, I did know about his 2nd marriage to Mary Harrison, but not that his fathers name was John.  I would dearly love to know more about him. Regards Faye

Can't see a marriage for a John Masters snr in Leicestershire covering the time frame either or any reference to the surname Masters on a PDF I have for Wigston

I did find one baptism in Anstey, Warwickshire parish records are viewable once you sign in

Hi Willsy, thanks so much for your reply.  Yes, it is a more than a distinct possibility this is my John.  Just checked google earth for locations of anstey & leicestershire.  The distance isn't that great between the places.  Also John & Martha's first two children were born in Willoughby-Leicestershire, others in Barnacle-Warwickshire & also Anstey so looks extremely promising.  Regards Faye
