Rose Ann Mcgraa baptism records in Woolwich

Looking for Rose Ann Mcgraa's baptism/birth records. Born abt 1815 in Woolwich, Kent. I can only find her marriage record to Stephen Kemp in Liverpool 1836.

Have you got the birth certificate for any of her later children, to check spelling of her maiden name?
 (If you look on free bmd it is not a very London based surname, almost exclusively north-west, both families mariners?)

The name may have been McGrath (pronounced McGraa).

Sounds as though it would have been a catholic baptism.

The marriage was at St Peter Church Street Liverpool - which is Church of England?

Maybe Rose Ann wasn't catholic.

But at that time, unless a marriage took place in a protestant church it wasn't considered legal.

Thanks everyone for looking - I have none of the family's birth certificates yet, I only found her maiden name from the marriage at St. Peter's church.

There is a baptism for James KEMP son of Stephen and Rose at St Peter's Liverpool 20th September 1840

Stephen was a mariner.  There is no mother's maiden name mentioned.

thanks, i have also found their daughter's baptism at St. Peter's church, Susannah Kemp 8th  Dec 1837, but I am having problems finding the actual birth registration on any index, or can you order a birth certificate using the info on a baptism?

It could be that the birth was not registered; regulations were not tightened until mid-1870s I think.
