Please help me with 1871 Census which reportedly has William as Master of Mosborough Endowed School Eckington. I cannot trace it.

I have not noticed any mention of the 1871 Census on the thread you have linked, so I am concerned as to how I can help you further.

Cheers,  JM

 :)  this one perhaps  :)

I couldn't find him either so I just searched for William (no surname) born 1849 Burnley and living in Derbyshire.  If you are searching Ancestry the surname is transcribed as ASENAGH  :D and he is boarding with the COBB family.

Class: RG10; Piece: 3619; Folio: 36; Page: 3

So two years training, 1868/1869, then to Mosborough in 1870.

Debra  :)
