Is this fixable?
« on: Monday 11 July 05 17:04 BST (UK) »
I hope I have attached a photograph of my mum, my daughter, my grand daughter and me taken just after my mum was diagnosed with Alzkheimer's decease.  Six years on, now in the latter stages of this illness my mum is nothing like the lady she was and that's not the image I want to remember.

As this is the last picture taken before the illness really took hold, I thought it would be nice for the family to have, but as you can see it is miscoloured down one side.  We did ask at the time it was developed if anything could be done but was told it couldn't.  I just wondered whether now with all the different software - not to mention you experts - if it could be fixed.

Any help/suggestions greatly appreciated.

Regards
Sandie

Hi Sandie,
This is a real pain in the backside when a problem like this occurs but I have seen examples of this repair before. I refered it to another forum: "RetouchPRO"

http://www.retouchpro.com/forums/showthread.php?p=94331#post94331

If you go to this link you will see that Flora has done a fantastic job. I suggest you register on that forum and get in contact with Flora via a PM and she may be able to help you further.

Anyone else here who wants to have a crack at it please be my guest. I have asked Flora if she will do a tutorial on the RetouchPRO forum, if she can do it I will let you know on this thread.

Cheers,
Deadants.

Deadants,

Thank you for the link.  Flora beat me to it and sent me a PM, I'm just about to reply.

Thanks again,

Sandie

PS.
I took your suggestion and registered.  I had a look at what had been done - wow!
Thanks again
Sandie

Deadants

I sent Flora a PM and apologised for my mistake.

I cannot believe what Flora did with the picture, it is absolutely brilliant.  I really can't thank you enough for passing it on to her.

Again a huge thank you.

I hope it prints out OK. It may be a bit small.

deadants,

Where's it gone?  I looked at it yesterday but couldn't save or print it - my son was out and he has to tell me, repeatedly, what to do - I have just told him I need his help, clicked on the thread, and it's gone.  Me and computers ....

Regards
Sandie

PS.  Don't worry, it seems to have come back now!
