« on: Saturday 15 August 15 11:47 BST (UK) »
Betty Hew sometimes known as Elizabeth Hew was widowed by a colliery accident in 1830 I have found her in 1851 and 186a she died in Jan 1871 all in Paulton Somerset.
In 1851 she has her youngest child Joshia with her.he is in Wales in 1851
Can any one help locate either or both Betty and Joshia in 1841 please

she was born about 1788 her son was baptised in Paulton 22 Feb 1829
I hope some one can see what I'm missing. Many thanks

Brilliant and she is next door to Harriet Gregory too
both were nee WINTER and both widowed in tragic accidents the report of one says they were "Nearly related"
Joseph Hew had drowned on Christmas day  1829 while attempting to rescue a neighbour who had fallen into a quarry pool Betty gave birth to Josiah a month later.
George GREGORY and his brother in law George WINTER were two of five fatalities when a colliery rope broke in November 1830
I am trying to find out how they all relate.
George Winter was brother of Harriet WINTER. Betty/Elizabeth WINTER was sister to Elijah WINTER ..they are together on the 1861 census. But the report of the colliery accident only says the brother in laws were "...Nearly related to Joseph Hew.."

Many thanks for your help.
