Hi folks,

I am also interested in Mathews, in this area. My research has taken me back to the marriage of Peter Mathews to Mary Clusky 4th January 1837 in Haggardstown Parish. Does anyone on this thread have links to this family line or any other info on Mathews in this area at this time? I am located in Melbourne Australia and Mathews is my mothers maiden name.

I to am interested in Mathews/Matthews family in Drogheda, Co. Louth

My Great-Great Parents were Peter Mathews (July 28 1868 Stameen, Drogheda, Co. Louth, Ireland - June 18 1948 Beabag, Drogheda, Co. Meath, Ireland) and Mary Catherine Mathews (nee Branigan) (Jan 19 1875 Monasterboice, Co. Louth, Ireland - Apr 29 1944). They were married on May 7 1893 in Diocese of Armagh, Monasterboice, Co. Louth, Ireland. They lived in Beabag/Painestown, Dublin Rd, Drogheda, Co. Meath, Ireland

They had 13 Children: Patrick, Mary Alice, Peter, Sarah,  Rose Ann, John, James, Thomas, Catherine, Josephine, Alice, Joseph.

Birth, Marriage & Death records for them have it spelled Mathews/Matthews
