Thomas Hope immigration to Canada records

Is it possible for someone to lookup when Thomas Hope arrived to Canada?

I know that he was married to his wife, Jane, on 8 May 1848 at All Saints in Thwing, Yorkshire (East Riding), England and that their son William was born on 20 Nov 1848 in Hutton Cranswick, East Riding of Yorkshire, England. However, thier son, Charles,  was born 1851 in Scugog, Ontario, Canada. Therefore, they must have immigrate between 1848-1851.

From the Canadian 1911 census he emigrated in 1849.

Unfortunately, there are no comprehensive lists of immigrants arriving in Canada before 1865. Few such lists have survived.
