Records 90th Light Infantry Perthshire Volunteers 1795-1880
« on: Thursday 27 August 15 10:11 BST (UK) »
I have discovered a PDF file 364 page report on my computer -  "Records of 90th Light Infantry Perthshire volunteers 175 - 1880" by Alex. M. Delavoye (1880).  I imagine I came across it whilst searching for two of my ancestors - different regiments.  Having a quick look at it, I am loath to "delete" it immediately - so much info, of their travels, battles, lists of names of officers.  I would have been so delighted to find similar reports on my people... so..... If anyone out there is researching this Regiment - let me know - will be able to forward.

An elder brother of my gggrandfather, John 1785 to 1847 was in 90th Regiment 1803 to 1818. Joined at Abergavenny, served in West Indies and Canada. The 90th seemed to have had a very good reputation both at The Horse Guards and in the civilian authorities in the West Indies.

Hi Regorian,

My previous post is nearly 4 years old - so my info has got lost  - "too much water under the bridge" since then.  However, google the "question" - I still find https://archive.org/details/recordsof90threg00delarich/page/n4  - link to the actual book.  Hope you find/found something of interesting to your research.
