There are a few transcript records on FindMyPast such as those below. The name seems to be quite common in the county. Their records for Earsdon do not seem to begin until later in the 1700s

George Chicken married Ann Potts 24 Dec 1740 Horton, Northumberland

WILLIAM CHICKEN born 1724 Died 27.11.1798, abode Seaton Delaval Northumberland.
Burial 30 Nov 1798 EARSDON, ST. ALBAN.

There are a few BMD records at Earsdon on free reg, all in the early 1800s.

Colin
Clarke, Trickett, Orton, Lawless, Norton, Detheridge, Kirby, Goodfellow, Wagstaff, Lowe, etc.

Here's another possible from Earsdon PRs

Joseph Mavin and Mary Chicken both of this parish married 24 June 1739

I also note from William's baptism in 1724 that he was a twin.  There is no baptism for the other twin.

Christine

Ive been going through Northumberland baptism, marriage and burial registers and have noticed the Chicken family over a long period. I didnt record any details but the name stuck out to me.

The link to all the registers is here:
