(Wife) Elizabeth b.1805 Collington, Herefordshire
Charlotte SMITH b.1838 Tupsley, Herefordshire
Samuel SMITH b. 1842         "              "
Jane SMITH b. 1845             "              "

Could be other children.
 
1861 Census shows the family living Hampton Deane, Tupsley.
Occupation for John is Market Gardener.

Thanks for all your help once again, that all ties in with 1861 and forward. At least we can say that we have tracked down one  John Smith out of the billions.
