I would start with https://familysearch.org/search (Family search free records) and just post the name of the person, any known dates you are seeking on here.

You never know what may be able to be found without actually going to a bmd based in Nigeria.
Wemyss/Crombie/Laing/Blyth (West Wemyss)
Givens/Normand (Dysart)
Clark/Lister (Dysart)
Wilkinson/Simson (Kettle or Kettlehill)

Before you post any details on here you need to be sure the person is deceased. How recent is the birth?
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

if you do various google searches, it is frequently mentioned that birth registrations in Nigeria are few and far between before the 1970's.

If this person was born to British parents, you might find an entry in the British overseas records of the GRO found on FindMyPast if they registered the birth with the British Consulate there
