Jones buried Bedwellty Church

Miss Elizabeth Margaret Jones and Miss Eleanor Jones, both, teachers at Brithdir Infants School was absent from school on January 26, 1900, due to the funeral of their father who was buried at Bedwellty Church.  Can anyone help with the name of the deceased and possible his place of abode.  Any details would be appreciated.
anything and everything to do with the village of Brithdir, near New Tredegar in Gwent.

Hi not certain if this is correct, but their was a burial of a David Ellis Jones aged 46 abode 4, Ivy Row. Brithdir 25th January 1900?

Just checked the 1901 census and the family were still in Ivy Row.
