Coventry Herbert Centre Archive look up request

Hi

Is anyone going to the Coventry History Centre at The Herbert in Coventry City Centre in the near future or possibly the Warwickshire Records Office and would be able to do some lookups for me?

I am advised by the History Centre that they hold the admissions register for the Leicester Street Industrial School for girls from 1862 - 1912.  I'm looking for a Lilian Florence Major who was a boarder/pupil at the school in 1911 and would have started between 1909 and 1911.  The reference to the archives is CCF/6/6/1

I would be eternally grateful if someone could look for the records for me.  I would go myself but by looking at their website it looks like the reading rooms are not open on a saturday.

Opening Hours:
Wednesday – Friday 10.30am – 3.30pm
Alternate Saturdays 10.30am – 3.30pm (starting 24 January 2015)

Research Room open by appointment only.
Please note: The History Centre will be closed on Good Friday and Easter Saturday.

Thanks Rosie.  I saw that but then when you go on the page that is about using the history centre it says the reading rooms aren't open on a saturday.

Not lots but found out why she was there and for how long

That was a good result.   Not many of these 'institutions' records have been kept so always a bonus when they can tell you why she was there.
