George Thomas (b1820 in Amesbury)

Hello,

I'm struggling to find the parents of George Thomas (born about 1820 in Amesbury). His daughter is Sarah Thomas born 1864.

I have found a marriage to a Jane Davis which lists a William Thomas as his father but can't seem to find anything else relating to him other than census records from later on.

I'd appreciate any help finding out more about him.

It's an index-only record I'm afraid, so I don't know.

Hi,

How sure  are you that he came from Amesbury?  I can't see a George thomas  being bapt. in the Amesbury transcripts for about that time but there are some other "Thomas's".

The only other George Thomas I can find was bapt... 14-9-1828 in Wroughton s/o Daniel & Elizabeth.

Familysearch has several Thomas Children born Amesbury to WILLIAM/ANN.
Cant find a George though.

I agree with Rosie George is likely married to a Sarah in 1841 Census

And as George/Jane didnt marry til 1844 then Joseph born c 1842 is likely the Son of his 1st Wife
